Learn first hand about New Zealands sheep farming in our fascinating and entertaining one hour presentation.

Our live demonstration begins with the sheepdogs rounding up and bringing in the sheep, which are then sorted and shorn. Our experienced presenters are full of facts and explain what is happening throughout. Visitors get a close-up view of all the action, and of course everybody wants to get hands-on when its time to feed the lambs! Shows are held in our fully seated indoor Show Barn, and are suitable for all ages.

Gain an insight into how we farm our sheep in New Zealand, then harvest and use their wool. As well as demonstrating the NZ sheep and wool story, SheepWorld has some great ways to experience NZ nature first hand and to meet with some of our friendly wildlife and farm animals.

Ever wondered what happens to a sheep's fleece after it was shorn? Our brand new interactive multimedia exhibition will give you all the answers. Wonderful Wool provides a fascinating insight into the unique qualities of wool, and how it is used in N.Z. to create internationally revered high quality products.

Feed snacks to our friendly animals and get to learn about them too. Meet favourites such as calves, pigs, lambs, goats, ponies, deer and donkeys plus more exotic alpacas, emus, possums, mini horses and Indian Ringnecked Parakeets. Our mini-farm area lets our younger visitors get hands-on with our smaller tame animals.

Our Adventure Area is a fascinating landscape sculpted entirely from boulders, logs and ropes. Add a young imagination and this becomes the ultimate adventure zone. Bring a picnic and relax while the children let off steam.
