I haven't ridden a bike in years. Is it easy?
You bet! We have put together a ride that is suitable for all skill levels and ages, from those who haven't ridden for years to those who ride regularly. We are a great option for the whole family and allow you to get the exercise that you sometimes neglect while traveling. It's all as easy as ...well, riding a bike! No, you won't be the first grandmother or grandfather riding the tours.
Are bike tours a safe activity to do in Sydney?
Safety: Are our tours safe? The answer is: Absolutely! While we always stress a fun and entertaining experience, safety is our number one priority. Our tours follow carefully planned routes in which we ride in the street a minimal amount of the time - instead we prefer to take you through parks, harbour fronts, and on large sidewalks if necessary. Additionally, we've picked the least congested streets and easiest paths. You won't have to worry about traffic when riding with us! Finally, our guides are thoroughly trained in safety procedures and will always be there to help you along the way.
What should I bring? Will you have a place to store my backpack while we ride?
We provide you with a state-of-the art bicycle and helmet to wear on the tour. If you have a backpack, purse, or other items that need to be stored, we'll happily store it for you in a secure storage area until you return from your tour. In addition, you might want to consider bringing the following items: Camera (you will take in some amazing views) Comfortable clothes for riding (some people even wear jeans, so no major requirement) Closed-toe shoes Water bottle (all bikes can carry about 600ml, we also sell at low prices) Sunscreen Hat (can be worn under a helmet)
What sort of bicycles do you have?
Our bikes are 21-geared hybrids that will guarantee an enjoyable ride! We have them in different sizes and we also have children's bikes. For the youngest member of your family, you can have a trail along or kids' tandem. All our bike hires and tours include a helmet. We currently do not have or hire out proper mountain and/or racing/road bikes.
What size are your groups?
We like to keep our groups small and your experience personal. Group sizes can vary on the day, but ideally we try to have one guide for a maximum of 15 guests. If the group goes over a certain number on the day, we always have a backup guide or guides ready to take out a second group or more.
Do the tours operate in winter?
Absolutely! Our tours run year-round! The winters here are pretty mild compared to other regions. On some days all you may need is a jumper/pullover, and who knows, you may even be riding in shorts!
How many kilometres is this tour?
This tour is 12 kilometres however there are many stopping places, photo opportunities along the way so its nice and easy.
