You wont believe how serene and peaceful it is at 1300ft of towline and dont forget to bring your camera as you will get some fabulous photos or if you would rather just sit back, relax and enjoy let our Go-Pro do all the work and purchase our photo package.

Gentle take off and landings are controlled by your well experienced super friendly skipper from the back deck of our purpose built parasail boat.

No getting wet-unless you want to!

Instructions
  • Bring your camera or Go-Pro to take stunning photos
  • Each ride lasts approximately 10 minutes in the air and the entire duration of the trip lasts up to one hour and 15 minutes. Passengers take turn as others observe. We carry up to 12 passengers on board per trip.
  • Please check in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time
  • Wear comfortable clothing. Take into consideration that it does get cooler on the water versus being on land. Obviously, if it is in your interest to get wet, a bathing suit is recommended.
  • You are more than welcome to bring your own cameras or Go Pros but bear in mind we do not take any responsibilities if it gets wet or you drop it. We offer a great option if you do not want to risk it with our awesome photo package for a very reasonable price. A Go Pro camera goes up in the Parachute with you and takes photos of you with the beautiful views in the background. You receive more than 100 photos and an optional video on an SD - memory card that you leave the boat with.

Restrictions
  • Children must weigh more than 20 kilos to safely fit our smallest parasail harnesses
  • Children under 8 years must parasail with someone over 18 years
  • Maximum combined weight must be less than 220kgs (wind dependent)

    Will I get wet?

No. All take off and landings are done from the back of our world leading purpose built Parasail boat. At your request you may have your legs touched down into the water.

    What do I need to wear?

You may wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Take into consideration that it does get cooler on the water versus being on land. Obviously, if it is in your interest to get wet, a bathing suit is recommended.

    How long are we out for?

    Can we fly together?

We offer parasail rides as single, tandem and triple flights. It is based on a combined weight depending on the wind conditions at the time. The weight range is between 70 and 240 kilos. The wind is very changeable in the Bay of Islands therefore we cannot guarantee weights until the time of flights.

    Is it safe?

The team at Flying Kiwi Parasail has 20 years experience in the industry. All skippers and crew go through an extensive and thorough training process. We are fully certified, insured and one of the founding members of the New Zealand Parasail Association (NZPA).

    Can I bring my camera?

    Can I bring a friend on the boat who doesn't want to parasail?

Yes you may however it is subject to availability and an extra charge. This is NZ$30.00 for the 2018.2019 season
